Vinous and Delectable Announce Partnership with Collisioni Wine, Music & Literature Festival
May 16, 2017, New York, NY – “I am thrilled to announce that Vinous and Delectable will be the official media partners this year of Collisioni, the annual wine/music/literature festival held in Barolo,” says Vinous CEO and Founder Antonio Galloni. “Music and the arts have always been a passion of mine. To bring that all together with wine in one of the most beautiful towns in the world is a dream come true.”
For four days in July, Barolo, a small village in the picturesque hills of Italy’s Piedmont region, becomes an open air, non-stop festival with wine tastings, concerts and literature readings that attract an audience from all over the world.
“We are absolutely delighted to have Vinous and Delectable as sponsors for the 9th edition of Collisioni” says Artistic Director and Founder Filippo Taricco. Collisioni officially starts on July 14, with a performance schedule headlined by Robbie Williams, the best-selling British solo artist with a record 18 Brit Awards.
Multimedia: A Short Film by Vinous and Delectable for Collisioni
Vinous will outfit Agrilab, Collisioni’s multimedia learning center, with the innovative, interactive Barolo map that has earned Vinous critical acclaim, and made Vinous a case study for Google Maps, as well as video content that will be streamed continuously at various Collisioni venues with exclusive interviews and expert insight on the festival’s wines.
Delectable will be the official app of Collisioni. Known as the Instagram of wine, Delectable allows users to scan a bottle of wine with their smartphone, then share and read reviews. Collisioni tastings will be pre-loaded into Delectable, making it easy for wine lovers to share their impressions with friends and followers.
About Vinous
Antonio Galloni is the founder and CEO of Vinous, one of the world’s most influential wine publications, for which he is also the lead critic covering the wines of Bordeaux, California, Italy and Champagne. Since its founding in 2013, Vinous has established a presence in over 90 countries. Vinous is unique in the wine industry in that the company has both professional reviews from the world’s top wine critics, built in part through the acquisition of Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar in December 2014, and a leading social media platform in Delectable, acquired in December 2016. Delectable allows users to scan a bottle of wine with their smartphone, read reviews from other consumers, and share their own thoughts with friends. Galloni started his career in wine writing in 2004, when he founded Piedmont Report, the first in-depth, English language journal solely focused on Italian wine. Galloni’s success led him to Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate where he spent more than six years and became the lead critic. Visit: vinous.com
